The Foundation of America Begins in your neighborhood!
"Good in the Hood" is a service group full of awesome members like you. Anyone who wants to join, can! We believe life is about helping others, building relationships and having fun all at the same time. We envision a community that is not full of people going there seperate ways, with only time to worry about the daily grind. But a community full of friends, who take the the time to get to know each other and take care of each other. We agree with George Washington when he said "Happiness and moral duty are inseparably connected."
We all have times when we are in need of help. Who better to help then a friend from your own neighborhood!
We are all not only responsible for ourselves, but we should feel a responibility for the well-being of those around us. George Washington also said. "Let your heart feel for the afflictions and distress of everyone, and let your hand give in proportion to your purse". We believe it is the citizen's of America which make or break the nation. A strong foundation begins not in the Whitehouse, but in your house, and in your neighbor's house. How can we have strong communities if our communities are full of week, broken neighborhoods? This is the UNITED States of America, it is a beautiful country where each person has a choice to make the foundation strong or weak. If a country is truly governed by the people then those people better be responsible and kind. So at "Good in the Hood" our goal is to remind everyone that people are important, And it's ordinary people who have made America what it is, and what America is going to become.
